The Penny Group Harridge is a well-established financial planning business that combines personal, family-led values with the strength and governance of being part of a larger firm.
Simon has worked in financial services since 1991 and brings decades of experience as a financial adviser. Sue joined the business in 2007 and, after playing a key role in shaping its compliance culture, now acts as a Board Adviser, providing strategic and regulatory oversight.
Following a move from Manchester to the south of the country in 2017, the business has grown significantly and is now supported by a team of 24 professionals, including two Chartered Financial Planners, reflecting our commitment to the highest professional standards.
We are passionate about giving back. Simon is a trustee of the Openwork Foundation, helping direct over £500,000 each year to vulnerable people in local communities. Our team regularly supports charitable causes, including overseas fundraising challenges. Sue has also worked closely with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, training a hearing dog that now provides life-changing support to a deaf partner.
More recently, Sue has taken on further volunteering roles setting up a monthly ‘in person’ meetup for parents/carers of neurodivergent young people to share good practice and experience and has also been offered a trustee position within the charity ‘Autism Berkshire’.
We are also proud to be a signatory of the Good Business Charter, demonstrating our commitment to responsible business practices. This means treating employees fairly, supporting diversity and inclusion, acting responsibly towards customers and suppliers, and operating with integrity, transparency and ethical governance at the heart of everything we do.
